Fishing at Igombe dam and Walla river is practiced at small scale and mainly for Local consumption ad informal trade. Small amount of fish is brought to the town market where also fresh fish (unprocessed) sales is done.
The dominant type of fish caught at Igombe is Tilapia and slight amount of Kambale (claries). Many small scale fishermen make their living from fishing as source of employment and income.
